Ralph Lauren Men's Mansion Holiday Windows 2011

I figured I might as well make this day all about the boys.  The Ralph Lauren men's mansion also had some pretty chic holiday windows.  So chic in fact that they make me want to crawl into them and start living that life.  I especially love the window with ski lift chair.  What will they think of next?!

(Don't forget that you can click on the photos to enlarge them and see the details.)

Bergdorf Goodman Holiday Windows for the Boys

The Bergdorf Goodman holiday windows at the women's store get all the attention but those at the men's store are just as chic.  I love it when they use animal heads on the mannequins which is kind of fitting since most men are animals.  I jest of course but I do see some similarities.  Happy Holidays!

New Sponsor Showroom: Julia B

I'm excited to announce that my chic sponsor Julia B can now be visited by appointment in New York.  You can view her gorgeous bed linens, cocktail napkins, lampshades, and pillows in person.  Not sure if they can be monogrammed in time for Christmas but the cocktail napkins would make a perfect present for yourself or a friend.  Or order a set of custom linens to snuggle up in all winter.  Definitely check it out.

Palate Cleanser

UPDATE: The photos from this post are now gone because I was contacted by somone who claimed to own the copyright.  After receiving several rude emails from them, I decided to take them down.  I apologize for the inconvenience.

I think we all know by now that I like stuff.  I like homes filled with collections and curiosities picked up along a lifetime spent traveling the world.  But every once in a while it all becomes a bit too much and you need a palate cleanser.  Think of it as a bowl of clear broth soup after a gluttonous Thanksgiving. I saw a few of these photos from the apartment of Wolfgang Benkhen in Hamburg, Germany on tumblr but it wasn't until today that I saw the entire space.  I don't love it all.  I'm not a fan of the kitchen or bedroom but I do love the herringbone floors, leaning artwork, and the piles of books and magazines. I also like how much better modern furniture looks in European interiors.  Wish it looked that good here.

Ralph Lauren Children's Store Holiday Windows 2011

Bergdorf Goodman is probably the most popular destination for holiday windows each season but there are also other very beautiful and creative displays around the city. The Ralph Lauren shop windows on Madison Avenue are always a treat, especially the children's boutique.  They look adorable and the props they include always amaze me.  There are even a few skiers like in my last post.  Happy Holidays!
