Lee Robinson Kentucky Derby Tastemaker Tag Sale

As a life long resident of the Northeast, I sometimes wish I was born in the South. First, you get that great Southern accent and get to say things like "bless her heart." Second, you get to grow up in lovely old homes filled with beautiful family furniture and silver.  Oh, and if you're really lucky, you get to attend the Kentucky Derby.  Interior designer Lee W. Robinson and his family grew up with all of these things and probably more but due to that Southern upbringing are also really nice.  You might remember that I had the pleasure of visiting not only Lee's amazing shop but their gorgeous home last fall.  That's a photo of their entrance gallery above. One of my magazine friends needs to publish it so you can see it all for yourself.  It's absolutely stunning.

If you can't make it down to the Derby this weekend or to Lexington to see Lee's shop, you can check out his Kentucky Derby Tastemaker Tag Sale on One Kings Lane Friday, May 4 at 11:00am EST. In the interest of full disclosure, Lee is a sponsor but I am mentioning his sale more for your benefit than his.  It is sure to be filled with fabulous furniture, equestrian related pieces, and probably a silver mint julep cup or two.  Just remember not to drink too many this weekend or you might miss the Derby all together!

Christmas in Kentucky

When I was in Louisville, Kentucky recently, I was lucky enough to stop by the shop of interior designer Lee W. Robinson.  It was already decorated for Christmas and looked like Santa's very chic workshop. I bought a few things for myself and friends for the holidays and can't wait to go back.  If you can't make it to Louisville before Christmas, I am happy to let you know that you can also shop online.  Happy Holidays!
